Frequently Asked Questions

We’re here to guide you. Find quick answers to the most common questions our patients ask.

What is the latest time I can eat before a blood draw?

You should not eat or drink anything after 10:00 PM the night before your blood draw. After that time, you may only have water or unsweetened (sugar-free) tea until your appointment.

If I’m fasting and eat one mango, can I still get my blood drawn?

It’s best to reschedule your test for another day, as eating or drinking can affect your results and make them less accurate.

What do I need to do to get a DNA test?

Getting a DNA test is simple and quick. Here’s what to do:

Book an appointment: Schedule your DNA test by phone (686 – 0149).
Bring a valid ID: A government-issued photo ID is required for verification.
Sample collection: A cheek swab or blood sample will be collected.

Are medical screening tests covered by SVB?

No. Medical Screening tests are considered private (particulier) services and are not covered by SVB insurance. Payment is required at the time of service.

Our at-home phlebotomy service is free of charge. A certified phlebotomist will come to your location to collect your sample at no additional cost.
